Joanne & Stuart – Old Luxters Barn
All my weddings are beautiful but especially when the Groom is your cousin, so at this particular wedding not only was I photographer but also a guest. I got to wear a fancy hat, buy a new outfit and a cracking pair of shoes 😉 I was over the moon when Jo and Stuart asked me to capture their big day (no pressure 😉 ) and what a gorgeous wedding it was. Old Luxters Barn is in the Hambleden valley, near Henley-on-Thames, set within an area of outstanding natural beauty. The barn is part of the Chiltern Valley Winery, Brewery & Vineyard and a fabulous setting for a wedding with its 18th century rustic appeal. Jo & Stuart aren’t fans of being photographed and didn’t want to normal formalities of wedding photography , they requested lots of fun shots as well as the natural moments during the day. I did still manage to take a few romantic shots, but on the whole they had so much fun, I don’t think they will ever be shy in front of a camera again! It was a fabulous day from start to finish and although we did have a few showers nothing would dampen the spirits of our happy couple. From brightly coloured socks to Hunter wellies, fun with golf clubs (as Stuart is a golf pro), piggy back rides and running races, it was brilliant. After the ceremony and photo shoot we were treated to a very tasty meal, hilarious speeches and lots of scrummy ice cream. Everyone finally kicked off their shoes and danced the night away, it was the perfect end to a perfect day. Jo and Stuart, thank you for the fun, the laughs and for being so easy to photograph. Huge Congratulations to you both, we wish you a very long and happy life together and THANK YOU for asking us to be a part of it. Lots of Love xxx
Thank you to all the staff at Old Luxters Barn for all your hard work, it was a wonderful day.
