Samantha & Luke – Somerford Hall
A beautiful late summer’s wedding was the dream for Samantha and Luke on Thursday 1st September, and that is exactly what they got. Somerford Hall is an elegant Palladian mansion set amongst 100 acres of landscaped parkland, a stunning setting providing the ideal backdrop for our happy couples big day and I was lucky enough to photograph it for them. The day started, as it often does, with the bridal preparations, the last finishing touches of hair and make up, Bridesmaids & Bridesman busily getting themselves ready for the day ahead. Meanwhile downstairs the Groom and Bestman were greeting guests and keeping themselves busy before Sam’s arrival, Luke frequently looking at the new Tag watch his beautiful Wife to be had bought him as a gift for the day. Ironically he had bought her exactly the same…. already two minds thinking as one. It was an intimate ceremony with Sam & Luke’s closest family and friends in attendance. Once the nuptials had been made, rings exchanged and registers signed the new Mr & Mrs Wallbanks led everyone outside into the sunshine to celebrate. A superb guitarist played and sang as everyone enjoyed the champagne and the gorgeous summers afternoon. We made full use of the gorgeous grounds for our shoot, which ranged from lots of fun with the bridal party to some more romantic and intimate shots taken along the impressive driveway into the Hall. Finishing off with the cutting of the cake it was time for us to say our goodbyes, leaving everyone in good spirits and enjoying themselves immensely.
Thank you to all the staff at Somerford Hall for all their hard work on this beautiful day. A pleasure as always.
Sam & Luke, we wish you a very happy and long future together, thank you for choosing us to be a part of your very special day….. Enjoy a few of my favourite moments 🙂
