Jean & John ~ Packington Moor Farm
Who would have thought when 2 little children met on a holiday many years ago that all these years later they would tie the knot…. Jean & John… probably the youngest holiday romance ever 😉 did and what a wonderful time we all had on their wedding day. When Jean and John met me at a Bridal Fayre 2 years ago we did nothing but laugh and I knew when they booked we would be in for a fun day. And fun is exactly what we got. The day started off perfectly at Jean’s childhood home where she grew up and still lives today. On the wedding day Jean, her 3 sisters, 3 nieces and John’s daughter enjoyed the hustle and bustle of a wedding day, which was playing out nicely. Meanwhile John had already started celebrating at The Crown Pub in Alrewas with his 2 Bestmen, his son and his good friend. So the pints were flowing, the banter had begun and the day was well and truly underway. Guests made their way to All Saints Church in Alrewas for the ceremony and were followed by the beautiful Bridesmaids and our stunning Bride. John had a bet with me that Jean would be late as she is late for everything but she did me proud and arrived TEN minutes early!!! It was a lovely ceremony and before long the vows had been made and the ring exchanged, the deal was sealed with a cheeky little kiss, the registers were signed and Emily, Jeans Niece, entertained the congregation by singing and playing the piano for us, she was amazing. Back out into the sunshine and Jean and John enjoyed some time with their guests before making our way to Packington Moor Farm. As you will see below we took some beautiful pictures. Jean and John opted for a more natural approach but with some quiet romantic moments for the two of them also. It was soon time for the wedding breakfast and the hilarious speeches. Jean’s father’s dear old friend Geoff made the Father of the Bride speech and did a marvellous job, he had us all laughing happily away with stories of how the newly weds met all those years ago and John followed this up having everyone in stitches with his little presentation to Geoff! Finally it was time to kick off our shoes and have a good boogie to the band after Jean and John shared their first dance together. It really had been a wonderful day. Thank you Jean and John for your hospitality and making us feel like part of the family, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We wish you both a very happy and long married life together. Thank you Packington moor Farm for all your hard work, it was a pleasure to be back.
