Kayleigh & Stuart ~ Lea Marston Hotel

There’s nothing like a little festive cheer for us all this cold and wet January day, It’s Kayleigh & Stuart’s beautiful winter wedding at Holy Trinity RC Church in Sutton Coldfield and Lea Marston Hotel on the 22nd December 2017. Christmas is a lovely time to get married,  we always love a stylish winter wedding, there’s no need to go hard on the tinsel just because your wedding coincides with Christmas. Foliage, sparkly lights & a bit of glitter is all you need, and Kayleigh & Stuart did it perfectly.  I have known Kayleigh for a little while now as she works at New Hall Hotel, so I was very honoured when she asked me to photograph her big day.  After a month of hard winter weather and quite a bit of snow we were ready for anything!  It started off a foggy old day and the sun struggled to burn through, having said that this only added to the atmosphere of the wedding day ahead, as Kayleigh and her Bridesmaids got ready at Lea Marston Hotel.  At Holy Trinity Church a slightly nervous Stuart and his Groomsmen  waited for the day to begin.  They did a great job of keeping him calm with their constant banter.  It’s a Brides prerogative to be late and Kayleigh was… just a little 😉 but boy it was worth the wait.   Niamh & Charlie ( Kayleigh & Stuarts children, who were adorable) led the bridesmaids down the aisle, followed by Kayleigh who  looked stunning on the arm of her very proud brother.  Kayleigh’s Dad had very sadly passed away earlier in the year but was very much in the forefront of peoples minds, and remembered fondly all day long.  I’m sure he was very proudly looking down on them ♥  Father Michael led a lovely ceremony with lots of laughter as he chatted about Kayleigh & Stuart.  After the I Do’s Mr & Mrs Capladi took their first steps as Man & Wife back down the aisle to start the celebrations.  We photographed all of our groups inside church as it provided such a stunning backdrop before heading off to Lea Marston for some more intimate moments with our Bride & Groom.  Finally it was time to head back inside to the warmth of the hotel.  The room was lit beautifully with candles and twinkly lights, giving a lovely atmosphere, very fitting for a wedding just 3 days before Christmas!  The speeches were marvellous,   there was plenty of laughter, a few tears, but most importantly everyone was in the Christmas spirit… and ready to party.  It was however time for me to say my goodbyes.  It had been the perfect finish to my 2017 wedding season.  Thank you Kayleigh & Stuart for asking me to be a part of your very special day 🙂
