Annie & Oly ~ Talton Lodge

Tepee’s, coconut shires, hook a duck, unlimited beer and proscecco anyone? Oh go on then, it sounds like a perfect recipe for a wedding and exactly what Annie & Oly had on their amazing wedding day at Talton Lodge.  All my weddings are special but especially when it is that of friends.  Annie and I go way back to when Annie’s eldest son Dylan and my daughter Emily went to Nursery together at the tender age of 2 🙂 So nothing gave me more pleasure and pride when Annie asked me to photograph her and Oly’s wedding.  Knowing Annie I knew this wouldn’t be the kind of wedding I’m used to and she didn’t let me down…. it was a wedding with a difference and I loved every single minute.  Right from the get go we were in for fun, the girls were running around with the final preparations and Annie was in the finishing touches of hair an make up when we arrived.  The atmosphere was electric, I just wanted to bottle it.  Our dashing groom Oly looked fabulous as he waited with his best man and the happy couples 3 boys, Dylan, Lewis and Elliot.  Time flew as it always does on a wedding day and in a stunning outdoor ceremony on the lawns of Talton Lodge our beautiful couple said their I do’s with their very nearest and dearest watching happily.  There were tears of happiness and laughter, as well as a few for those who are no longer with us.  I’m sure Annie’s dear Mum Maureen was watching down and making sure her daughter had the most wonderful day, she was very much in everyone’s thoughts and a candle shone brightly for her all day at the memory table.  As you will see below Annie & Oly mainly wanted casual photographs catching the atmosphere & the day as it unfolded.  After lots of fun and drinking it was soon time for pie and mash in the amazing tepee’s before the hilarious speeches.  Then everyone ditched the heals, grabbed a pair of flip flops and boogied the night away to the sounds of the very talented Ashmore Brothers.  Annie & Oly, thank you so much for asking me to photograph your special day, everything was beautiful, the tepee’s were awesome, your attention to detail was impeccable and your 3 handsome sons did you more than proud. You both were a dream to photograph, I hope you love the pictures.  Here’s to a very long and happy life together… xxx

Thank you to everyone at Talton Lodge for making us feel so welcome, I hope we get to work with you again soon x
