Katie & Jack ~ Ardencote Manor

Katie & Jack had the most wonderful day on the 4th August 2018, it was their wedding day ♥ at St Edburgha’s Church and Ardencote Manor

It was another stunningly beautiful, sunny day, and everything was in full swing when I arrived at Katie’s parents home.  The dresses all hung beautifully in the master bedroom and I couldn’t wait to see everyone dressed and ready to go.  Katie was having the final touches to her make up and hair, Bridesmaids were busily dressing each other.  It was a wonderful atmosphere and we knew we were in for a fun day.  Lily-Jai, Katie’s niece was probably the most excited of all… Aunty Katie was marrying “Huggy Leg” (her name for Jack) and was possibly going to steal the show in her beautiful dress 🙂  Meanwhile at church a slightly nervous Jack awaited with his Bestman and entourage of Groomsmen.  They all looked so smart and kept our Groom calm as he waited for his Bride.  The time was flying so quickly and soon the Bridesmaids arrived with Katie & her Dad hot on their heals.  He looked so proud as he helped her from the car and they walked the path to Church.  It was a lovely ceremony, the vows were made, rings exchanged and the deal sealed with a kiss…. not forgetting some signatures on the registers of course 😉  Then it was time for our newlyweds to lead us all back into the sunshine and the celebrations to begin.  With congratulatory hugs and kisses out the way and a visit from a real chimney sweep to give the happy couple a piece of good luck coal,it was time for the photographs.  We photographed the majority of the groups at church as “Yardley Old Church” has beautiful grounds and we wanted to make full use of them, we finished off with the confetti shot before all heading to Ardencote Manor for the drinks reception and obviously lots more photographs 😉   As you will see below we took some great pictures.  Katie and Jack wanted a combination of fun, relaxed and more intimate shots and I think we can safely say we ticked all those boxes.  This group were all up for a laugh from fishing fanatic Jack and his prize catch, to naughty shots in boxer shorts… they really were up for anything and boy did we laugh haha!  We finished off the day shoot with some photographs of the room which had been dressed so beautifully.  Katie’s attention to detail and their literacy theme was stunning, one of the most beautiful I had ever seen.  Everyone was sat for diner and of course the hilarious speeches.  Our sides ached and there were a few tears of happiness, just as it should be.  Before the evening entertainment began we went back out with Katie & Jack for some photographs as the sun was setting and these are always some of my favourites. The last thing for us to do was capture the first dance and the father daughter dance before everyone kicked off their shoes for a good old knees up.  It really had been a wonderful day.  Katie, Jack, their families & friends had been such a pleasure to photograph and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.  Thank you for choosing us to capture your very special day.  Katie & Jack we wish you a very long and happy life together ~ Sally & Dave xx

A big thank you to all the staff at Ardencote Manor for all their hard work, a pleasure to be back with you again 🙂
