Clair & Liam ~ Shustoke Farm Barns

It was lovely to be back to Shustoke Farm Barns for Clair & Liam’s big day at the beginning of September.  It had been a little while since I’d been and was very much looking forward to being back.  The fun began at Clair’s parents home where our Maids and Bride were busily getting ready for the wedding.  Clair’s amazing ‘Princess’ dress hung upstairs, her Roland Cartier shoes were waiting to be slipped on and our beautiful bride was having the final touches of make up applied.  Clair was like a bottle of pop and couldn’t wait to get this show on the road, and neither could I 🙂  Meanwhile my slightly nervous Groom waited at The Barn for his wife to be with his Bestman and Groomsmen.  Liam confessed to me that having his photographs taken was not his favourite past time haha… but I have to say this young man turned out to be a breeze to photograph, I think secretly he quite enjoyed himself.  The boys did a great job of keeping him calm as he waited for Clair with their banter and he didn’t have to wait long.  Soon the Bridesmaids, Flowergirls and Page Boy arrived, followed by our stunning Bride and her very proud Dad.   Walking the aisle they both beamed from ear to ear and the ceremony was underway.  Thea our registrar gave a lovely ceremony, with readings from family members before vows and declarations were made and rings exchanged.  Clair and Liam shared their first cheeky kiss as Man and Wife, hooray they’d done it.  The registers were then signed and the happy couple led everyone back outside into the beautiful late summer sunshine to celebrate.   We had a great time with this bunch,  Clair & Liam chose a combination of relaxed and more intimate styles of photography, and as you will see from a few of my favourites below we captured some really special moments.  The time ran away so quickly and after everyone had been seated and filled their bellies it was time for the speeches.  Clair’s Dad kicked things off, followed by Liam who did the whole thing off the cuff (I was so so impressed) and finished off by the Best Man.  Everyone’s sides ached from the laughter, they all did did a magnificent job.  We then took our Bride & Groom back outside for some more photographs as the sun was setting, these really were some of my favourites.  Finally after the throwing of the bouquet it was time to cut the cake and our happy couple to take to the dance floor.  There was the traditional Bride & Groom dance, the Father and Daughter dance AND the Groom and his Mother in Law’s dance (which was absolutely hilarious)  Everyone was in the mood for a good old knees up so the stilettos were kicked off and everyone partied the night away.  It really had been a wonderful day.  Thank you Clair and Liam for choosing us to photograph your very special day, we wish you both a very happy and long life together ~ Sally & Dave

A big thank you to the staff at Shustoke Barns, a pleasure as always
