Claire & Charles ~ Shustoke Farm Barns

The 16th September 2018 saw me back at the beautiful Shustoke Farm Barns but this time for Claire & Charles’s big day.  After months of glorious sunshine the weather finally decided to break and we were greeted with grey skies for a change,. Autumn had finally kicked in but with it comes a whole new beauty, different light, gusty wind,  dramatic skies and at last stunning night time shots.  But I’m getting ahead of myself… back to where the day began!  Claire, her Mum and Bridesmaids were busily getting ready at Lea Marston Hotel & Spa.  Everything was surprisingly running on time, in fact Claire’s 2 younger Bridesmaids (Nieces) were chomping at the bit to get their dresses on 😉  Claire’s gorgeous gown hung in the bedroom and I set about my work.  With the final touches to hair and make-up by Eleanor Rose Bond it was time to get our Bride ready and get this show started, including a bit of jumping on the bed hehe!.  Meanwhile a few miles down the road Charles was nervously waiting at Shustsoke with his Bestman and Ushers.  I absolutely loved their suits, they all looked so handsome and their fun and banter kept Charles entertained whilst he waited for his Bride. The Barn looked absolutely stunning with the most amazing flowers, created by Charles’s sister in law, she really did the most superb job.  Next to arrive were our beautiful Bridesmaids shortly followed by our Princess for the day, Claire and her very proud Mum.   As they walked arm in arm down the aisle to Charles family and friends beamed from ear to ear and finally the wedding was underway.  It was a lovely ceremony with heartfelt readings from family, the vows and declarations were made, rings exchanged (with cheeky messages engraved inside them) and the deal sealed with a loving kiss.  After the formalities and the signing of the register the newlyweds made their way back down the aisle to start the celebrations.  They ran through a tunnel of confetti before everyone congratulated them on their marriage.  With hugs and kisses out the way it was time for the photographs.  We started with family groups and friends, followed by the Bridal Party before finishing off with the happy couple themselves.  Before we knew it it was time for the wedding breakfast and the bit we’d all been waiting for the speeches.  Charles’s Dad kicked things off, followed by our Groom and finishing off with our Bestman.  They were all smashing and everyone thoroughly enjoyed them.  By this point the sun had set and it started to rain…. however my wonderful Mr & Mrs North braved the elements for me to grab just a few more, and these folks are some of my favourites.  The it was back into the warmth of the barn for the first dance.  Claire & Charles decided on a live band called ‘Hipster’ for their entertainment and they were absolutely brilliant.  With shoes kicked off everyone made their way to the dance floor to boogie the night away.  I think I can safely say on behalf of everyone it has been the most remarkable day, and as you will see below, we all had a wonderful time.  Thank you Claire & Charles for asking us to photography your very special day, here’s to a very long and happy life together~ Sally & Dave xx

A big thank you to Shustoke Farm Barns, it was a pleasure as always
