Katie & Steve ~ Castle Bromwich Hall

Katie & Steve had a wonderful sunny autumn day for their gorgeous wedding at Castle Bromwich Hall on the 20th October 2018, they chose this date for some pretty special reasons, not only was it her parents anniversary but also her Grandparents anniversary!! Her Grandad said to her, “It will be a beautiful day, the sun shone on our wedding day and also your Mum & Dad’s and it will for yours” and he was right, it really was a stunning day and there were celebrations all round.  Katie was practically ready when we arrived at her parents home, her beautiful dress hung upstairs, her shoes and jewellery laid out and with the final tweaks ready, it was time to put it on.  She looked absolutely gorgeous and her Dad struggled to hold back the tears when he saw her for the first time.  Meanwhile over at Castle Bromwich Hall Steve, his Bestman and Usher had arrived to sound of the bagpipes and were patiently waiting for everyone to arrive.  Kilted up and ready to go Steve was relaxed and excited for the day ahead, kept calm by the banter.  The boys looked so good in their kilts and I knew we were in for fun with this lot.  Next to arrive were Katie’s Mum, Bridesmaid and Flowergirls who all looked beautiful too but the one we were all waiting for was Katie.  Our very own Princess beamed from ear to ear as she arrived with her very proud Dad, she twinkled as she emerged from the car into the sunshine… she was here, we were all ready and the wedding began.  It was a lovely ceremony with lots of giggles.  The vows and declarations were made and rings exchanged, sealing the deal with a cheeky kiss the newlyweds signed the registers and the rest as they say is history.  Leading everyone back downstairs Mr & Mrs Durnian enjoyed the confetti as it rained down from the grand staircase and then led everyone outside into the autumn sunshine for the celebrations.  As you will see below we had a lot of fun with this pair as well as capturing lots of intimate moments, they both photographed so well and were a dream to work with.  The time soon came round for everyone to enjoy a sumptuous meal but first were the speeches.  All three were great with lots of laughter and a few tears for those dear to them who are no longer here.  Before the evening entertainment began we stole away the happy couple again to take just a few nighttime photographs  before they kicked off their shoes for a good old knees up.  It was time for us to say our goodbyes but I am sure the party continued well into the early hours.  It really had been a wonderful day and Katie, Steve, their families and friends had been a joy to photograph.

Thank you so much Katie & Steve for choosing us to photograph your very special day, here’s to a long and happy life together ~ Sally & Janine

A big thank you to all the staff at Castle Bromwich Hall for all your hard work, it was a pleasure to be back with you again.
