Jennie & Stuart ~ Moxhull Hall Hotel

The Christmas presents had all been opened, we’d all eaten and drank too much, and it was my penultimate wedding of the year on the 27th December 2018 and I think possibly Moxhull Hall’s last wedding before the big refurb.  It was the beautiful wedding of Jennie & Stuart and I couldn’t wait.  When I arrived Jennie was having her hair and make up finished by the very talented Philip Dawes & Katy Bird.  Her beautiful dress hung from the wardrobe in the Bridal Suite and I went about my work.  It wasn’t long before Stuart was arriving in his fabulous car, the other big love in his life. It was a 1961 Ford Zodiac which had been off the road and in pieces for 6 years!  Stuart and his youngest son worked tirelessly on it for 2 weeks before Christmas getting it back on the road, including Boxing Day before coming home and making the wedding cake!!! Stuart deliberately left the cake until Jennie had left for Moxhull the day before the wedding so that she wouldn’t interfere haha!!  So I was tickled pink for him when I saw it, she was a beauty.  Both Jennie’s and Stuart’s sons were ushers at the wedding and they all looked tremendously smart.  Next I went off to find our little flower ladies who looked so very cute and finally it was time for our beautiful Bride to descend the grand staircase for the wedding.  It was a lovely ceremony with heartfelt readings. The vows and declarations were made, rings exchanged and the deal sealed with a cheeky kiss.  After the registers were signed the newly weds made their way back down the ailse to start the celebrations.  As with all my weddings this time of year we have so little light, so with the minutes whizzing by and the sun setting quickly we raced around the grounds of Moxhull making the most of the short amount of time we had, capturing some lovely intimate moments before heading back into the warmth to take some more photographs inside.  After the formalities and just before everyone sat down for a scrumtious meal we nipped back outside into the darkness of the night to take some great photographs with sparklers, these are some of my favourites as we had so much fun 🙂  Family and friends then took their seats for the wedding breakfast and I finished off with Jennie & Stuart and the traditional cutting of the cake… THE CAKE WHICH STUART MADE!!!!  I was so impressed, it looked amazing.  We all had had a wonderful day and I’m sure the evening went on to be just a great.  Thank you Jennie & Stuart for asking me to photograph your wonderful day, here’s to a long and happy life together ~ Sally xx

Thank you to Terry and all his staff for another beautiful wedding…. I think this may have been the last one of the year for you and I will see you very soon for the new season, and the big reveal ♥
