Gemma & Michael ~ Shustoke Farm Barns
Gemma and Michael were married on the 18th April 2019 in a beautiful ceremony at Shustoke Farm Barns. Have a look below at the fun we all had on their very special day in a small selection of my favourite photographs. (A short write up follows after the images)
It was back to Shustoke Farm Barns for me on the 18th April 2019 for Gemma & Michael’s wedding. It was a beautiful warm spring day and Gemma was in the final stages of hair and make up when I arrived. Her beautiful gown hung in the room upstairs and I couldn’t wait to see her all dressed and ready to go. Gemma’s Mum and Sister helped her into her dress and then it was time for Dad to see the big reveal. He beamed from ear to ear as she descended the stairs, even their doggy ‘Jaffa’ got in on the action giving Gemma and loving look and a wag of her tail in approval. It was soon time for me to meet Mike and his entourage at Shustoke Farm Barns. When I arrived he was being kept calm by his Bestman, Ushers and Dad, who were doing a great job with all their banter. Whilst Mike was in his interview with the registrars I photographed their adorable flowergirls and pageboy who had the very important job of being “Ring Security”, by this time our Bridesmaids and Mother of the Bride had arrived and we all eagerly awaited our Bride who pulled up in a fabulous white Taxi. Gemma looked stunning as she climbed from the car into the sunshine and it was off up the path to the Barn for the wedding. It was a lovely ceremony held Andy from Warwickshire Registry Office. The vows and declarations were made, Teddy safely delivered the rings, which were exchanged and the new Mr & Mrs Abley shared their first kiss. After the registers were signed our newlyweds led everyone back outside into the sunshine for the celebrations to begin. Once the formalities of family and friends shots were out the way I then spent some time with our happy couple in and around the grounds of Shustoke Farm. It was then time for the wedding breakfast before the brilliant speeches which had everyone’s faces hurting from all the giggles. After the meal Gemma, Mike and I went back outside to capture some shots as the sun was setting before kicking off their shoes for their first dance and a good old knees up. Just before I left we all went back outside as it was just about dark enough to have some fun with sparklers and for the happy couple to share a few more intimate moments under the twinkly lights. It had been a wonderful day. Thank you Gemma and Mike for asking me to capture your beautiful wedding, here’s to a very long and happy life together ~ Sally
A big thank you to all the staff at Shustoke Farm Barns for all their hard work at this beautiful wedding, a pleasure as always to work with you.
