Christine & Paul – The Old Vicarage
Christine & Paul were married in a beautiful intimate ceremony before close family & friends at The Old Vicarage in Worfield on Saturday 11th June 2016.
Please scroll down to see a small selection of photographs taken on their very special day.
Christine and Paul met a few years ago, he was a customer at the bank she works at. In March 2014, over the cashiers till, he plucked up the courage to ask her on a date. Christine agreed and it turned out to be a wonderful decision. They found each other so much fun, they held similar values to life and of course they fancied each other 😉 On June 4th 2014 Paul and Christine went away for a weekend in London, stopping at the Shanghai La’s Hotel. Paul took Christine to the top of the Shard and it was here that he proposed. A very happy and excited Christine said yes and the rest, as they say, is history.
The wedding day finally came around, it was a new venue for me and I couldn’t wait to photograph there. Christine was almost ready when I arrived. Her beautiful 50’s style tea length wedding dress hung from the wardrobe. It was beautiful and I couldn’t wait to see Christine in it. Paul meanwhile was patiently waiting for his beautiful bride. Chatting and having a quick drink with his friends they happily kept him calm with their banter as the minutes ticked by. It wasn’t long before the guests were seated and the clock struck three. Christine walked the aisle to Paul, both of them grinning from ear to ear. It was a beautiful intimate ceremony, Christine read a heartfelt and quite funny reading to Paul, the first time I’ve seen a Bride do this, it was a perfect poem to read to a future husband. The vows and declarations were then made, rings exchanged and the happy couple shared their first kiss together. The registers were then signed and witnessed by Martin & Peter (Both Bride & Groom’s Brothers). Finally the new Mr & Mrs Furness took their first steps as Man and Wife back down the aisle to begin the celebrations. The first part of our photography session had to be shot inside as the good old British weather let us down, however the showers soon blew away and we all managed to go outside and enjoy the countryside and beautiful surroundings of The Old Vicarage. We took some beautiful photographs as you will see below. The order of the day to be relaxed and stress free…. I think we managed that hehe 🙂 Finally we finished with the mock cutting of the cake before everyone settled down for the wedding breakfast. It had been a wonderful wedding day and everything Christine and Paul dreamt it would be. Congratulations Christine and Paul, we wish you a long and happy life together.
The newly weds are honeymooning in the Seychelles, have a wonderful time 🙂
A Big thank you to Kylie and all her staff for all their hard work at this beautiful wedding.
