Jane & Billy – Nuthurst Grange
On Friday 27th May 2016 Jane and Billy were married before family & friends in a beautiful civil ceremony at Nuthurst Grange.
Please scroll down to see a small selection of photographs taken on their very special day.
Jane and Billy met 10 years ago at her sister’s pub in Bridgnorth. They started to chatting to each other and eventually decided to go on an official date together. He took her for a meal and they hit it off instatntly and within a few months Billy had moved in. He’d been asking Jane to marry him for years but it wasn’t until 2015 when she finally agreed to be his wife. It was Valentines Day and they went to Castle Bromwich Hall for a meal. He gave her a card which said Fiancee on it and a plaque which said ‘Will You Marry Me?’ When Jane looked up Billy was on one knee, ring in hand! She was absolutely gob smacked and this time she said Yes 🙂
The day of the wedding finally came around and everyone was busily running around when I arrived at the Hotel. It was a beautiful spring day and the sun was shining. Jane was pretty much ready with only the finishing touches of make-up to do and her dress to put on. Bridesmaids were happily getting ready, there was a lovely buzz in the air and I couldn’t wait for it to begin. Meanwhile downstairs Billy was patiently waiting with Brother/Best Man Mick and Ushers Ben (Son), Brian, Bobby & Thomas. The lads all looked super smart and did a great job of keeping Billy calm with all their laughter and banter. It wasn’t long until it was time to photograph the Bridemaids, Flower Girls and Pageboys….. and we had our work cut out for us as there were so many little ones!!! Luckily they were all little super stars and did their parents proud. The Bridesmaids were Tracy (Sister), Stephanie (Daughter) and Katie (Niece), Flowergirls were Kayleigh (7yrs), Ava (5yrs), Bea (4yrs), Niamh (3yrs), Penny (2yrs) and Faith (2yrs), Pageboys were Connor (11yrs), George (9yrs), Jack (8yrs), Elliot )5yrs), Tommy (4yrs) and Sam (4yrs)….. PHEW!!!! Finally it was time for our stunning Bride to make her grand appearance on the arm of her son Robert. Jane looked beautiful as she walked the aisle. I think even Billy had a lump in his throat as he beamed at her with pride. It was a lovely ceremony with readings from Sue & Anne. The vows and decelerations were made, rings exchanged and the happy couple shared a cheeky kiss. The registers were then signed and witnessed by Tony & Sam before the new Mr & Mrs Smith took their first steps as Man and Wife back down the aisle and into the sunshine to start the party. We took some beautiful photographs around the vast grounds of Nuthurst Grange as you can see below, and the happy couple didn’t stop smiling and laughing all afternoon. We finished off our photographs with the traditional cake shot before leaving our newlyweds to continue their celebrations.
I think everyone will agree it was a wonderful day, thank you Jane & Billy for asking us to photograph your big day. We wish you a very long and happy life together. Have a wonderful honeymoon in Cape Verde.
A big thank you to all the staff at Nuthurst Grange for all their hard work at this beautiful wedding.
