Victoria & Andrew – St Andrews Town Hotel
On Wednsday 27th July 2016 Victoria & Andrew were married in a lovely ceremony at St Godwalds Church in Bromsgrove before celebrating at St Andrews Town Hotel in Droitwich, I was delighted that they chose me to photograph their big day for them.
The day began at Vicky’s parents house, only a five minute journey from the church which was a very special place for the family, especially as Vicky’s Grandma AKA Bannma arranges the flowers there. I knew it would be a fun day as soon as we arrived, after walking in to be greeted by 4 busy bridesmaids, a flowergirl and Vicky’s parents. A great group of guys and Andy’s son Lewis, (one of the Bestmen), were ready and raring to go when we arrived at Church! Family & friends were treated to a beautiful service the weather on coming out of the ceremony was amazing, perfect sunshine for everyone to celebrate in. Taking advantage of the beautiful weather we stopped off en-route to a boating club which painted a very pretty backdrop, for some of our photographs. The brightly coloured sail boats dotted the lake, you could almost have been at the coast. We photographed amongst the the long grasses with a visit from a curious swan before heading back to the hotel for some more photographs, dinner and some very funny speeches! With a great evening of dancing the day was rounded off perfectly with live music from a band made up if Andy’s old school friends,
Thank you to all the staff at St Andrew’s Town Hotel for their hospitality and Lastly, a big thanks to my very talented Dad, Dave, who came along to join me shooting on the day!
