Stacey & Jake ~ New Hall Hotel

Stacey and Jake had a wonderful wedding at New Hall Hotel on the 29th December 2018 and it was my very last wedding of the year.   I knew from the second I met this crazy pair at Stacey’s cousin, Clair’s wedding to Liam back in September, that we would be in for some fun.  After hitting it off from the get go and having met quite a lot of Stacey’s family already I was super excited not only to be seeing them all again but for what I knew was going to be a very fun day.  How chuffed was I when I got up that morning to see the sun shining… ending the season with a corker of a day, even if it was a little nippy.  Stacey was in the final touches of hair and make-up when I went to her room.  The normal commotion of Bridesmaids running around, last minute finishing touches and excitement filled the air.  It wasn’t long before Stacey was putting on her gorgeous gown, which was nothing like I had expected.  She was Jake’s Princess for the day and I couldn’t wait for him to see her.  Talking of our rather dapper Groom, he was patiently waiting in the bar with his Bestmen, (Dad and Brother) and his Ushers.  All the lads looked so smart, the banter began and the camera didn’t stop! Next it was the turn of our Bridesmaids with Jake’s daughter Ellie being in charge of the Maids Squad.  How stunning did they look? and so very photogenic. Two more little familiar faces were that of our flowergirl Ellanie and Page Boy Jake who were so adoreable.  And just like that it was time for our happy couple to get married.   The Bridesmaids walked the aisle first and then Stacey walked the first part of the aisle with her Mum and then the last part with her Dad which I thought was such a lovely thing to do.  Jake struggled to keep back the tears when he saw his beautiful Bride.  Tom conducted a lovely ceremony, the vows and declerations were made, rings exchanged and the deal sealed with a cheeky kiss.  Ellie gave a lovely reading and then it was time to sign on the dotted line.  With the formalities out of the way it was time for these love birds to take their first steps as man and wife and get the celebrations started.  Stacey & Jake had opted for an earlier time for their wedding which in December was a perfect thing to do, giving us lots more time to photograph everything outside in the winter sunshine, something I hadn’t done for a while.   As you will see below we not only had lots of fun but captured some really special moments also.  The sun did however start to set, signalling it was time for everyone to take their seats for the wedding breakfast.  After everyone’s bellie’s were full it was time to watch a little magic from the very talented Owen Strickland and also time for the speeches.  Myself along with everyone else not only had face ache by the end but aching sides too.  What fabulous speeches they were.  As the evening guests started to arrive we nipped back out side for a bit of sparkler fun before everyone kicked off their shoes for a good old knees up to some fabulous live music.  By the time we came to say our goodbyes everyone was in the party spirit and having the most amazing night.  It was great to see so many familiar faces again and to meet some lovely new people too,  we truly had a wonderful time photographing everyone at this fabulous wedding.  Thank you so much Stacey & Jake for asking us to capture your very special day.  Here’s to a very long and happy life together ~ Sally & Dave xx

A big thank you to Laura and all her staff at New Hall not only for another amazing wedding but also for all their hard work over the year, their continued support and recommedations for me, I am very much looking forward to doing it all again with you this year xx
