Jodi & Steven ~ Moor Hall Hotel

It was lovely to be back a Moor Hall for Jodi & Steven’s big day.  Although we had an uninvited guest… “Storm Hannah!!”  The day started off very grey, very cold and very windy with a not so clever forecast.  However when I arrived at Jodi’s room the weather became a distant memory as her bright smile and bubbly personality brightened up everything.  Jodi was in the final touches of having her make up applied.  Her Princess dress hung in the room and I couldn’t wait to see our lovely Bride in it.  Jodi will confess herself she doesn’t do dresses, but being a Princess for the day.. yeah go on then 😉  Her 2 Bridesmaids Katie (Sister) and Evie (Niece)  helped her get ready, Evie got quite emotional and couldn’t hold back the tears when she saw her Aunty Jodi looking so beautiful.  Meanwhile downstairs Steven was patiently waiting with his Brother Richard (Bestman) and Ushers.  We went down to the Sunken Garden to take some photographs of the boys, who kept Steve calm with their fun and banter.  Next I photographed the Bridesmaids and the Mum’s before photographing the last few photographs of Jodi with her very proud Dad.    Evie and her brother Noah were first to walk the ailse, followed by their Mum and finally the moment we’d all been waiting for,  beaming from ear to ear, Jodi and her Dad.  It was a lovely ceremony with heartfelt readings and a few happy tears.  The vows and declerations were made, rings exchanged and the new Mr & Mrs Carter stole a quick cheaky kiss, much to everyone’s delight.  After the registers were signed Jodi & Steve walked back down the aisle to start the celebrations.  Much to my excitement the threatening rain hadn’t yet paid us a visit  so we quickly got everyone outside for a big group photograph and some fun with the confetti.  I then stole Jodi & Steve away to photograph some more intimate moments whilst it was dry.  Braving the strong gusty winds of Storm Hannah and the biting cold the newly weds made their way around the grounds of Moor Hall so I could capture some beautiful shots. I was so grateful for the brightness of Jodi’s flowers, the beautiful colours of spring lifted everything, even Moor Hall had some dancing daffodils which looked fabulous in the photographs.  Thank you so much Jodi and Steve for braving it, it was really was worth the shivers 🙂  We then went back inside the warmth of Moor Hall to photograph the families, friends and bridal party.  I finished off with some photographs of the Charter Suite which looked beautiful as always and a mock cutting of the cake.   Having said my goodbyes to everyone and wishing them all the very best for a great evening my job here was done.  It was only as I loaded my equipment back into the car that it decided to rain!  How lucky had we been ♥

Jodi and Steven thank you for asking me to photograph your wonderful wedding and for making me feel so welcome, I wish you both the very best for a long and happy married life together ~ Sally xx

Thank you to Jamie and all his staff at Moor Hall for another great wedding 🙂
