Nicola and Matthew ~ Pendrell Hall
Nicola & Matthew were married on the 30th May 2019 in a beautiful ceremony at St Nicholas Church In Codsall and then on to, Pendrell Hall Have a look below at the fun we all had on their very special day in a small selection of my favourite photographs. (A short write up follows after the images)
All my weddings are special but I was particularly looking forward to photographing Nicola and Matt’s big day. Not only had I photographed Matt’s sister Leanne’s wedding to Darren a few years ago but I also work with Nicola and Matt quite a lot at Moor Hall Hotel. So it was lovely to see familiar faces and friends on such a special day. I was honoured they asked me to be their photographer ♥ My day started with photographing Matt getting ready in one of the cottages at Pendrell Hall. He looked so smart as his younger brother helped him into his jacket and was remarkably calm but very excited as the day started to unfold. Meanwhile up in the main house Nicola was having her make-up applied when I arrived, with Bridesmaids happily pouring fizz and taking selfies. Nicola’s stunning gown hung in the ‘Love is Enough’ room upstairs at Pendrell Hall where the girls were getting ready and I set about my work. They were such a lovely group of girls, full of giggles and excitement, exactly as is should be on a wedding day. The time soon began to run away with us and it was time to make our way to St Nicholas Church in Codsall for the ceremony. Matt, his Bestman and Ushers arrived full of good spirits to church. They did a great job keeping him calm with their banter as we waited for the guests to arrive. The Bridesmaids and our stunning Bride with her very proud Dad were next to arrive. Nicola looked stunning as she climbed form the car walked the path arm in arm to Church. The ceremony was finally upon us and what a lovely service it was. There were heartfelt readings and great hymns. The vows were made, rings exchanged and registers signed. That was it, it was official and the new Mr & Mrs Cordiner walked back down the ailse to start the celebrations. The weather threatened to change with big black storm clouds building but it was so warm and thankfully the showers stayed away. With congratulatory hugs and kisses out the way we photographed family and friends at church before throwing confetti and Matt drove his new wife back to Pendrell Hall for the drinks reception and the celebrations. We took full advantage of the wonderful grounds and a had great time with this lot! Nicola and Matt wanted lots of fun incorporated into their photographs as well as some beautiful initmate moments. Whilst we were photographing the videographers Kev and Jay made a music video which was brilliant and created some great shots for us too! Kev also let me set up a shot of the Bride and Groom for his drone, something I hadn’t done before and I just loved the results! Time flew away with us and it wasn’t long before our favourite Toastmaster Steve Townsend came to grab us all for the wedding breakfast. After a lovely meal it was time for the speeches, always a highlight of the day! And they didn’t let us down. There were 4 speeches, one from each of the Dad’s, Matt and of course his Best Man. Everyone’s faces hurt from all the laughter, it wrapped up the formalities beautifully. Before the evening began we ran backoutside with Nicola and Matt to take some more photographs of the happy couple before they cut the cake and kicked off their shoes for a good old knees up. The place was rocking by the time came for us to leave. It had been the most wonderful day.
Thank you Nicola & Matt for asking us to photograph your wonderful wedding and for your very kind hospitality, we wish you a very happy and long life together Sally & Dave xx
Also thank you to all the Staff at Pendrell Hall for all your hard work, it was a pleasure to work with you and I really hope I get to photograph with you again soon.
